I contributed an essay to the Winter 2025/Spring 2026 issue of the Toronto-based film zine GLEANING, edited by Jacob Crepeault.

Entitled “Roadshow Slop,” my essay recounts my experience of watching the movie Fuck My Son! at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. I describe its use of both in-theatre gimmicks and generative AI and reflect on what this might indicate about where movies are headed.
